In the rural economy of an agricultural birds play a vital role since some birds are beneficial or useful to farmers. Study on the birds of Patan district was conducted during 2011- 2014. Observations on bird species and population were recorded at two locations in each taluka. During the present investigation 86 bird species were found in kharif sorghum field from which maximum number of bird population observed in Rose ringed Parakeet (2832), Blue rock Pigeon (2616), Cattle Egret (1372), Baya Weaver (1281), Red vented Bulbul (1160), Red Wattled Lapwing (1069), so on.KEY WORDS: Birds, Population, Sorghum, Agroecosystem, Patan district.
