Incubations were conducted at 8°C for 180 days (Teller incubations) or 60 days (Council incubations). The microcosm headspace was sampled at designated intervals for greenhouse gas concentrations, then destructively harvested and extracted using ultrapure water and 0.1 M KCl for analysis of the porewater geochemistry.
