Experts in deep-sea taxonomy and ecology have worked together for four Russian-German and German-Russian expeditions in the NW Pacific deep sea (Sea of Japan, Sea of Okhotsk, Kuril-Kamchatka abyssal plain and the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench).
