He worked a long time in the Palana sovkhoz and then tried to make a go as a 'farmer' with a private herd in the 1990s. It didn't work, as the herders didn't look after deer and the herd withered away to nearly nothing. It was gone by 2001. Works in Institute for Advanced Teacher Training, Palana.
