Layered gabbros
Layering in this gabbro, inferred to have formed near the bottom of a mid-ocean ridge magma chamber, is inclined to the right in this image. Thinner gray layers are enriched in plagioclase feldspar, whereas brown-green layers are enriched in olivine and pyroxenes.
