Summary: | Two aphyonids were caught in 1968 by the R.V. "Meteor" off Southwest Europe. One specimen, a male, belongs to Meteoria erythrops of which only a female and a juvenile were known. The other is referred to Nybelinella erikssoni hitherto found at two localities, north of Madagascar and in the tropical Atlantic Ocean. Nybelinella nom. nov. is proposed as a substitute for the preoccupied Nybelinia. |
