Summary: | A 3D matching method has been tested on four vintages of seismic data, covering a producing reservoir in the Norwegian Sea. We observe that, above this reservoir, the lateral and vertical alignment between the four surveys are very good, while below the reservoir there are both pulldown, and apparent lateral positional differences, between the surveys. These changes below the reservoir are believed to be due to velocity changes inside the reservoir. We will here discuss the observed lateral and vertical shifts below this reservoir, and outline possible causes of these shifts. |
