Pages 111-145 are an incomplete account kept aboard the bark Nimrod, on a voyage from Sag Harbor to the South Atlantic Ocean, 26 November 1853 - 03 November 1855 (dates contained in this journal are 25 November 1853 - 11 May 1855); owned by Charles T. , commanded by Captain James M. Green. Pages 146-154, the end of the book, contain notes and scribblings of an Edgar E. Green, of Southampton Township, N.Y.; same appears throughout book, likely by a child. Notes on inserted card: "21 trips to South Atlantic (Brazil).condemned in 1860 (Australia)."
