Gosti, zaposlenici hotela te vlasnik hotela čine tri osnovna temelja hotelskog sustava. U hotelijerstvu podjela poslova se dijeli na smještaj (room division), te hrana i piće (food and beverage – F&B). U radu je prikazana funkcija F&B menadžmenta u hotelu, i koji su poslovi koji se očekuju da izvršava kako bi poduzeće išlo u željenim pravcu. Izbor hrane pa i napitaka u zadnjih nekoliko godina se mijenja. Gosti sve više paze na prehranu prije svega zbog zdravstvenog razloga pa onda i zbog fizičkog izgleda. Zbog toga je vrlo bitno ostati u trendu i pratiti inovacije, kako bi odjel hrane i pića pa i sami F&B menadžer imao bitnu ulogu u hotelijerstvu. The structure of the organization in the hotel system is primarily made up of human resources. Guests, hotel employees and the hotel owner form the three basic foundations of the hotel system. In the hotel industry, the division of work is divided into accommodation (room division), and food and beverage (F&B). In this paper, I will talk about the function of F&B management in a hotel, and what jobs it is expected to perform for the company to go in the desired direction. The choice of food and even beverages has changed in the last few years. Guests are increasingly paying attention to their diet, primarily for health reasons and then for physical appearance. That is why it is very important to stay in trend and follow innovations, so that the food and beverage department and the F&B manager himself have an important role in the hotel industry.
