U ovoj temi obrađene su vrste državnih granica, točnije prirodne državne granice i političke državne granice. S vojno geografskog aspekta prikazane su mane i prednosti koje jedne i druge posjeduju. Kroz primjere je prikazano da su razlozi sukoba u Gorskom Karabahu i Kašmiru nesuglasice oko razgraničenja teritorija, te da takvi sukobi traju i danas. Na primjeru Sjedinjenih Američkih Država (SAD) su prikazane dobre i loše strane političke granice. Primjer političkog razgraničavanja primijenjen je i na primjeru terrae nullius na Antarktici. Spomenuta je i Maginotova linija kao loš primjer obrane, te o tome koliko je pokretljivost snaga važna u provedbi vojnih operacija. In this topic, the types of state borders, namely the natural state borders and the political state borders, are discussed. Trough the military point of view weaknesses and advantages of such borders have been shown. Through the examples, it is shown that the reasons for the conflict of Gorski Karabah and Kashmir are a disagreement over territorial delimitation, and that such conflicts persist today. The USA example shows both good and bad sides of political boundaries. An example of political demarcation was also applied on the example of terrae nullius in Antarctica. Maginot's line is also mentioned as a bad example of defense, and how much mobility of the forces is important in the implementation of military operations.
