Tema završnog rada su pilotske karte. Nakon kratkog uvida u povijest njihovog nastanka i svrhu, obrađujemo sve informacije prikazane na karti. Za temeljni dio rada koristimo se pilotskom kartom sjevernog Atlantika za mjesec kolovoz, 2002. izdanje. Detaljno opisujemo specifičnosti tog područja za to razdoblje: vjetrove, tlak, vidljivost, lokalno vrijeme, magnetsku varijaciju, ortodrome, visinu valova, oluje, izvantropske i tropske ciklone, temperaturu zraka i mora, morske struje i granice leda. U nastavku uspoređujemo podatke sa drugom pilotskom kartom istog područja ali za mjesec siječanj. Isticanjem najznačajnijih promjena u vremenskim uvjetima dolazimo do zaključka o važnosti prikazanih informacija i korisnosti same karte. The topic of the undergraduate thesis is pilot charts. After a brief insight into the history of their origin and purpose, we process all the information shown on the chart. For the fundamental part of the paper, we use the pilot chart of the North Atlantic for the month of August, 2002 edition. We describe in detail the specifics of the area for that period: winds, pressure, visibility, local time, magnetic variation, orthodromes, wave height, gales, extratropical and tropical cyclones, air and sea temperature, sea currents and ice boundaries. Afterwards, we compare the data with another pilot chart of the same area but for the month of January. By highlighting the most significant changes in weather conditions, we come to the conclusion about the importance of the information presented and the usefulness of the chart itself.
