Ovim radom prikazani su osnovni principi iskorištavanja Sunčeve energije, te vrste fotonaponskih elektrana i načela koja koriste. Također, pojašnjeno je kako funkcioniraju sustavi i kakvi mogu biti: samostalni, priključeni na elektroenergetsku mrežu i hibridni. Veći dio fokusiran je na sami projekt fotonaponske elektrane, kako se izvodi, koje provjere su potrebne da bi se izvršio projekt, performanse i specifikacije opreme, te naposljetku na proračun koji je bitan za potvrđivanje da je ispravno odabrana oprema i da je ispravno realiziran projekt. This paper outlines the basic principles of solar energy utilization, the types of photovoltaic power stations, and the principles they use. It is also explained how systems work and what they can be: standalone, plugged in on the electricity network and hybrid. Most of the paper is focused on the project of the photovoltaic power station itself, how it is performed, what calculations are needed to complete the project, the performance and specifications of the equipment, and finally the budget that is essential to confirm that the equipment is properly selected and that the project is properly implemented.
