Kukci su velika grupa člankonožaca. Postoje štetni i korisni kukci. Oko nas je mnoštvo korisnih kukaca, za koje mi ni sami ne znamo pa ih ubijamo. Često korištenje herbicida na cijeloj površini pogoduje razvoju neželjenih vrsta kukaca jer se tretiranjem uništavaju svi korisni kukci. Mnogi su predatori koji će sami riješiti najezdu nekih nametnika, to su bubamare, osolike muhe, zlatooke, grabežljive grinje i stjenice i druge. Bumbari i solitarne pčele su jako dobri oprašivači voćaka pa ih treba što više zadržavati u svome voćnjaku. Biološko suzbijanje možemo provesti na tri načina: očuvanje ili stvaranje pogodnih uvjeta autohtonim vrstama grabežljivaca (razna skloništa, vlažna mjesta itd.), uzgojem, razmnožavanjem autohtonih prirodnih neprijatelja, te unosom prirodnih neprijatelja iz njihovog prirodnog staništa. Often the use of herbicides on the entire surface favors the development of unwanted insects because treatment destroys all beneficial insects. Many are predators who will rid of some pest infestation, are ladybugs, syrphid flies, predatory mites and bedbugs, and others. Bumblebees and solitary bees are very good pollinators of fruit trees, so we should hold them as much as we can in ours orchard. Biological control can be carried out in three ways: preserving or creating conditions suitable indigenous species of predators (various shelters, humid, etc. .), cultivation, propagation of native natural enemies, and intake of natural enemies from their natural habitat
