Flying north of Norman Wells, however, although regular at certain seasons of the year, is still experienced by only the few. Because of this, it seems desirable to record some notes made of certain unusual features of the terrain in this forbidding part of the North, features which are matters of detail in themselves but which demonstrate a few of the many challenging problems which this part of Canada poses to the interested visitor.
