Summary:GUDMUNDSON v. THIXGVALLA LUTHERAN CHURCH 307 Article 2.—Confession. The Word of God as it is revealed in the canonical Scriptures is the true fountain and the perfect law of the congregation in matters of doctrine, faith, and morals. 2. The congregation accepts the doctrines of Holy Scriptures in conformity with the Lutheran Church in Iceland as expressed in its confessional documents. 3. The congregation shall be affiliated with the Lutheran Synod of Icelanders in this country, which accepts the same confession as the congregation. Article 5.—Rights. 1. The congregation has power to decide and make disposition of ^congregational matters. The majority rules at meetings. Article 11.—Property. The property of this congregation cannot pass into the hands of anyone else, unless the congregation so determines hy two thirds of all Totes. If a division occurs in the congregation, the property shall be long to such portion as adheres to this constitution. Article 13.—Amendments. This constitution cannot be amended unless such amendment be idopted by a two-thirds vote at a congregational meeting. It must, however, have been brought up and discussed at the next preceding meeting. But section 1 of this article 2 can never be amended.
