GENERAL INFORMATION A portion of the Mouse River Loop traces a semicircular path through the central and northeastern parts of the county, while a network of waterways throughout the northern part of the county forms a confluence with the Mouse River near the county's north-central border. All of this, located above the north-south continental divide, forms part of the Souris River system which ultimately drains into Hudson Bay via Lake Winnipeg. Drainage conditions in the county are excellent. POPULATION According to the U. S.
