GENERAL INFORMATION A portion of the Mouse River Loop traces a semicircular path through the central and northeastern parts of the county, while a network of waterways throughout the northern part of the county forms a confluence with the Mouse River near the county's north-central border. All of this, located above the north-south continental divide, forms part of the Souris River system which ultimately drains into Hudson Bay via Lake Winnipeg.
