Robert Baker and they have a daughter, Susan Marie. She is our first great-grandchild. Marge also has a son, Michael. Nancy Ann-born May 8, 1945, died November 27, 1950. Linda-lives in Albuquerque, NM and has a son, Cole, 7 years old. She is employed at the University of New Mexico and attending classes there. Juanita—married to Jerry Nankervis and they live in Brisbane, CA. He is employed by an oil company and works up at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska part of the year. Nita works as a secretary. Grace-married to Robert Thomson and they live in Golden Valley, MN. They have a frame shop and an art gallery in Minneapolis, MN. Donald—married Cathy Hanson of Fargo. They live at Mooreton on the former Henry Heitkamp farm (NW1/4 16). Don farms and Cathy is a dental hygienist at Breckenridge, MN. Larry—is farming and lives at Crete, ND. Jerry. Jr.—is living in Minneapolis, MN Mary Beth—married Bernard German, son of Clarence Germans of Hankinson. They live in Des Plaines, IL. He is foreman at Martin Sprocket Co. and Mary works at Ibico. They have a son, Bay, 6 years old. Richard—is helping farm and lives at Crete, ND during the summer. Rosalie-is attending NDSSS at Wahpeton, ND. Jerome is the son of Frank and Lena Heitkamp. He had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His mother was Lena Becker, daughter of Charles and Susan Becker of Danton Township. Frank died Aug. 26, 1976. Lena died June 22, 1981. Joan is the daughter of John and Rose Pellman of Belford Township of Mantador. The Pellmans came from Adrian, MN after their wedding to settle in Barney Township (SW1/4 27) in the spring of 1919. Rose died Nov. 7,1967. John died Jan. 2, 1981. John and Minnie Heitkamp, Sr. John H. Heitkamp, Sr. was born at Alton, Iowa, Sept. 14, 1887. His parents were Bernard and Elizabeth (Selting) Heitkamp. He married Angela (Minnie) Pikarski, May 30, 1916 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mooreton, ND. Minnie was born at Minonk, 111. April 25,1893. Her parents were Martin and Josephine (O'Gorek) Pikarski. They lived on a farm in Barney Township, SE1/4 of Section 16. They moved to Mooreton, ND in 1958. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1966. They had six children: Bernadine-born Feb. 28, 1917. She married Arlo Manning. They had three children, Judy, Jill and Jean. Arlo died in 195 9. She married John Kingston in 1961. They live in Enderlin, ND. Angeline—born March 28, 1919. She married Merle Greenheck. They had one child, Linda. Merle died in 1979. Angeline is living in Barney, ND. Wilfred—born Feb. 3,1921. He married Marcella Anderson. They had nine children: Sharon, Corrine, Neil, Gary, Richard, Lynette, Wayne, Scott and Daniel. They live in Breckenridge, Minn. Sylvester-born July 1, 1923. He married Martha Zalewski. They had four children; David, Brian, Joyce and Dean. They live in Ibsen Township Sl/2 Section 20. John-born Sept. 30,1925. He married Marie Rink. They had five children: John, died during infancy; Geralyn, Julie, Mark and Tammy. They live in Chandler, Ariz, and Ottertail in Minn. Bernice-born Nov. 9, 1932. She married Gerald Davis. They had eight children; Gerald, Timothy, John, Rebecca, Ronald, Angela, Karen and Edmund. They live in Wahpeton, ND. John Heitkamp died in 1969. Minnie died in 1981. They are buried in St. Anthony's cemetery, Mooreton, ND. The Sylvester Heitkamp Family Back: David, Sylvester, Dean, Brian; Martha, Joyce Front: John and Minnie Heitkamp on their 50th Wedding Anniversary Sylvester Heitkamp Family Sylvester Heitkamp was born July 1, 1923 in Barney Township. His parents were John, Sr. and Minnie (Pikarski) Heitkamp. He worked at the elevator in Barney, ND before entering the service. He served with the Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific.
