His duties were Electronics Technician, Technical Instructor, Electronics Maintenance Supervisor, Armament and Electronics Officer, Communications and Security Officer. He was stationed during his military career in the following places in sequence: San Antonio, TX; Boca Raton, FL; Tachikawa, Japan; Agana, Guam; Rapid City, SD; San Antonio, TX; Biloxi, MS; Elgin AFB, FL; Oujda, French Morrocco; Patrick AFB, FL; San Antonio, TX; George AFB, Adelanto, CA; Thule, Greenland; Niagara Falls AFB, NY; USC, Los Angeles, CA; Lowry AFB, Denver, CO; Westhampton AFB, Long Island, NY; Fort Churchill, Manitoba, Canada; Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH. He participated in Operation Greenhouse Atomic Tests Kwajelin Atoll in 1951. Darren married Judith Caroline Kraemer of Lodi, California at Folkeston, GA, December 22, 1953. She accompanied him to all of the military stations to which he was assigned in the United States and Canada. They have four children. Darren Duane II is married to Elaine, lives in Lodi, CA and is an Electronics Service Technician. Russell Albert is married to Jodi, lives also in Lodi, and is an Electronic Service Technician. Caralee is married to Marc Bromme'. She is in nurses training at Delta College in Stockton, CA. Eric Layne is married to Coreen and they live in Sacramento, CA where he is an Electronic Service Technician for Handy Andy's. Darren and Judith live at 2131 West Elm Street, Lodi, CA. They own Kraemer's, a firm that services home appliances, televisions, video recorders, computers, etc. JANICE [FUHRMAN] AND JIM LAHMAN Janice was born in Woodworth, N.D. on May 31, 1944, the daughter of Theodore and Marie Fuhrman. She attended and graduated from Robinson schools and received her degree in nursing at the Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing. Janice is employed as a Registered Nurse at the Q and R Clinic in the Children's Department at Bismarck. Jim Lahman was born in Britton, South Dakota on June 13, 1945. He graduated from Bismarck High School and attended Bismarck Junior College. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and is a Vietnam veteran. Jim owns and operates Jake's Auto Glass in Bismarck and Mandan. Janice and Jim were married July 3, 1970 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. They reside at 412 River Road, Bismarck, N.D. LORETTA [MARTINSON] AND VICTOR LAMBRECHT Loretta Martinson was born in Robinson, September 17, 1937, daughter of Nicolai and Clara Martinson. She attended Robinson schools and graduated from high school in 1955. In 1958 she graduated from St. Lukes in Fargo as a Registered Nurse. Victor Lambrecht was born in Bordulac, N.D. January 6, 1938, the son of Ervin and Agnes Lambrecht. He grew up on a farm near Carrington, served in the army from 1957 to 1959, was a veteran of the war in Korea, moved to Fargo in 1960. He completed his education at a business college. Loretta and Victor were married in Bethany Lutheran Church in Robinson, June 18, 1960. They lived in Fargo several years, moved to rural Moorhead in 1969, and "love it", Loretta states. Victor is terminal manager at the Amoco Oil Company terminal in Moorhead, where he has worked for 17 years. Loretta is a Public Nurse and employed in Clay County schools. They had two children, Brian Lambrecht, who graduated from Moorhead High School in 1981, and will have completed his senior year at Moorhead State by the time this history is published. James Lambrecht graduated from Moorhead High School in 1983, attended Moorhead Technical School, where he studied auto mechanics. James died of injuries received in an automobile accident in July 1985. Loretta's father, Nicolai Martinson died April 12, 1984. Loretta and Victor also had a son, David, who died January 4, 1962. Loretta recalls the following events: "After graduating from nursing school in 1958 I went to the University of Minnesota and worked on the surgical unit. I returned to the Fargo area after family illnesses made it necessary that I be closer to home. Mom had a craniotomy for a brain tumor in 1957 that left her partially paralyzed. In 1959 Dad had surgery and grandmother Tollefson was diagnosed as having terminal cancer. I have remained in the Fargo area ever since. I met Victor in 1959 through my roommate from nursing and the following year we were married. We have had three sons. Our oldest, David, died at birth and this was a very difficult experience.
