They have two children, Jason and Sara. Yvone is married to Chuck Williams and have a daughter, Anna Chuck works for Shaklee Kemmith. Carl Kenneth went to Moorhead University and graduated with a masters degree. For his army tour he was stationed in Texas. There he worked as a medic on Detroit Lakes. They have three children, Kelly, Kyle and Kevin. Kelly is married to Matt Nelson and lives in California, where Matt is stationed at the Norton AFB and they have no children. Hiram has been divorced from Virginia and is married to Ava Clark. Ken is separated from his wife and is single. We had our 50th anniversary in 1977 and all our kids were here. Two of Ray's brothers were here. Also his sister and husband, Pat and Frank. All of them are residents of Sacramento. My two sisters were here too. REINHOLD GRABINSKE A lengthy history is written in the 1961 Jubilee book, so I won't repeat it; only add a few things that happened since. My mother lived in her home alone up until the last 1Vj years when she moved to an apartment for a short time, then to a nursing home as her health was starting to fail. She passed away in November 1974, nearly 20 years after my dad who passed on in July 1955. She would have been 90 years old the following February 2. We also lost a sister, Olga (Pansey) Larson at the age of 63. She lived at Beaver Creek, Oregon, near her daughters. She passed away in July 1983. So now our circle is also broken. Only seven of us left, but life goes on. When and Mrs. Reinhold Grabinske one looks back over the years, many childhood memories come back of how we all grew up on the homestead. In those days all had to pitch in and help make a living, much different than today. There were cows to milk by hand, sheep to look after, lunches to pack for school every morning, horses to get ready and hitch up, and miles to Robinson to school and the same in the evening again. But, there was time for play also. I have always been so thankful that my father and mother looked into the future in 1908. and decided to leave Russia and all their families and home behind and look for a better way of life for their family here in America. Those early years were hard years for the homesteaders, but, they paved the way for the rest of us, let's not forget it! Barbara and Ruben Grabinske RUBEN GRABINSKE Ruben, son of Reinhold and Molly Grabinske was born in South Merkel Township, March 14, 1916. He attended school in Robinson. He left 131 Scanned with a Zeutschel Zeta book scanner at 300 dpi. Edited with Multi-Page TIFF Editor.
