P(論文) 南極みずほ基地の700m掘削孔を利用して, 孔壁面に接触する温度計で氷床の垂直温度分布を測定した。氷床の温度は深さ100mまでは急激に, それより深い所ではゆるやかに下がった。そして深さ350m付近で最低の温度(-35.48℃)となり, それ以降は逆に深さが増すにつれて温度は上昇した。実測された温度分布は, 現在のみずほ基地付近の氷床の状態から推測されるものと少し異なることを示唆した。 A temperature profile was measured with a wall contact-type thermister probe in a 700m bore-hole at Mizuho Station, Antarctica. The temperature rapidly decreased from the snow surface to the 100m deep layer and slowly decreased toward deeper layers. It was the lowest (-35.48℃) at about 350m depth and it gradually increased with depth. The temperature profile measured could be suggested to differ from the condition of ice sheet predicted by the theoretical calculation. departmental bulletin paper
