The total discharge from the Mizuho Plateau area across the Soya Coast is estimated at approximately 8.9×(10)^9t/year, which comprises 7.4×(10)^9t/year from the Shirase Glacier and 1.5×(10)^9t/year from other glaciers and the ice sheet.
