Summary:In order to understand variations of accumulation over Greenland, it is necessary to investigate precipitation and its variations. Observations of precipitation over Greenland are limited and generally inaccurate, but the analyzed wind, geopotential height, and moisture fields are available for recent years. The objective of this study is to enhance the dynamic method for retrieving high resolution precipitation over Greenland from the analyzed fields. The dynamic method enhanced in this study is referred to as the improved dynamic method.
