Summary: | By means of gas-liquid chromatography, we investigated the compositions of unsaponifiable matters of head oils from a porpoise, Neomeris phocaenoides and dolphins, Langenorhynchus obliquidens, Prodelphinus spp. so-called "Hasinaga-iruka" and "Madara-iruka". These unsaponifiable matters contain three principal components, temporarily named A, B and C. "A" component is cetylalcohol; "B" and "C" components are supposed to be methyl-pentadecanol and methyl-tetradecanol respectively. As for dolphins, "B" component is prominent and considered to be a characteristic of their head oils. ガスクロマトグラフィーによって,スナメリ,カマイルカ,ハシナガイルカおよびマダライルカの脳油不けん化物中に含まれるアルコール成分を検索して次の結果を得た. すなわち,上記の各試料には何れにも3つの主要成分が存在し,そのうちの1はセチルアルコールであり,他の2は炭素数16(B成分)および炭素数15(C成分)で,ともにメチル側鎖をもつ飽和アルコールと推定した. 吻の突出したイルカで側鎖C16アルコール(B成分)はその脳油の特徴と考える. |
