Description
Summary:These data support the findings summarized in the publication titled "Marine and Terrestrial Organic Ice Nucleating Particles in Pristine Marine to Continentally-Influenced Northeast Atlantic Air Masses". These data include aerosol size, composition, meteorology, and immersion freezing ice nucleating particle number concentrations at the Mace Head research station. The purpose of this project was to identify the role of marine aerosol on ice nucleating particle populations in this remote marine location. Ambient measurements were conduction 5-29 August 2015. The collection and analyses of these data were supported by the National Science Foundation (AGS-1358495) and the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) project BACCHUS under grant agreement no. 603445. This work was also supported by the CNR (Italy) under Air-Sea Lab: Progetto Laboratori Congiunti.
