The latter two sections include explanations of the terminology, the process of instructional development, the scope of the guide and the rationale for the guide. -- The guide itself is presented as an appendix in three-sections. The first section of the guide is a list of books pertaining to instructional development. The second section is composed of a list of periodical articles and articles from books concerning the subject. Documents and reports in the field of instructional development constitute the third section. Full, bibliographical data and a short description of the contents of each item is given in the guide. Items of special interest to beginners in the field are indicated with an asterisk. -- It should be noted that this is a guide to printed materials only. Materials on microfiche have been included in the final section only because they were more readily available at the time than the original documents.
