Summary:Young man learns about sex while fishing on the West Coast by spying on a crewman and the female cook. Based on a youthful experience, this song was composed in the 1950s by Lemuel Bertram ("Lem") Snow of Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland. (His home community is now a senior citizens' cottage complex in Lewisporte.) Snow recorded this song for Pigeon Inlet Productions (PIP-7316), "The Great Lobster Boil", Side B, Band 4, in 1982 (October); the liner notes by Jim Payne, from which the above information was gleaned, were written in May 1983.
