The Newfoundland
Song re: the wreck of the steamer "Newfoundland". She set sail on the 12th of March. The crew, under Captain Cane, were mainly Northern men from Bonavista Bay. The weather was stormy; they died on the ice. Captain Randell managed to save thirty-five of the men.
