Hind Horn (Child 17)/ The Beggar Man

A man, by his ring, knows his love is unfaithful and sails home. He asks a beggar the news - his bride is to be married. The man swaps clothes with the beggar and visits his bride in disguise. He slips the ring in her drink, reveals himself, and she returns to her original love. See Karpeles, 30.
