"An Account of the Colony and Fishery of Newfoundland and the present State therof with a Mapp of the whole Island" with "Peter Thompson 1732" above this title and has been numbered as pages 8 and 9. The volume is a compilation of printed and ms. items bound together, latest date of information being 1677, except for the initial pages. Title on the spine is "State of the Colony of Newfoundland 1744." On the verso of the title page is written "Mr. John Tuckor a Native of Waymouth and a Representative in Parliament for that Borrough, after perusing this manuscript and Map desired a Copy thereof, which I readily granted him in May 1764, P.
