The following was written on the back of the post card: ''Here I am in Brownshing staying with Uncle Arthurs brother. We arrived here Wed. night and we are leaving this morning, Friday for Montreal. We could only see the main entrance, as they only allow people on business in them because of the war. Love, Babs.'' The Rorke Family Photograph Collection contains 301 black and white and 28 colour photographs of the Rorke Family of Carbonear, Newfoundland, as well as the Forward and Bemister families from that area who are linked to it by marriage.
