Summary:Root Cellar owned by Agnes Mulcahy in Cape Broyle. It was built in the early 1950’s by her late husband. The cellar is built into a set of concrete exterior stairs that was chiselled by hand with a star chisel through the basement foundation. They grew their own vegetables to feed their family of eight. The cellar has built in wooden pounds and shelves, electricity, and a vent to the outside. It is no longer used for vegetable storage.
