The shed, or top house, and hatch entrance was added approximately 80-100 years ago (c.1920s). The cellar and property was taken over by Esau and Naomi’s son William and his wife Elizabeth, followed by William’s son Alfred and his wife Shirley. The property was sold to current owners David and Cindy Morrissey in 2007. The cellar was last used by Alfred and Shirley Adams to store vegetables grown in gardens adjacent to cellar until approximately 1990. The Morrisseys have plans start using the cellar again in the near future. " Still Image Newfoundland Upper Island Memorial University of Newfoundland: Digital Archives Initiative (DAI)
