Linda informed us that she had the water tested in 1986 and that is was clean, however has never used it herself. She also said a cab driver once told her of a memory he had of the house approximately 60 years ago being faised for a foundation and workmen dangling their feet into the water of the well. It is possible the shaft shape change occured during this construction. Still Image Newfoundland Memorial University of Newfoundland: Digital Archives Initiative (DAI)
