Braye, Crystal Vivian, Lester Lester Vivian born in Gander Bay in 1932 to Maisy (nee Blake) and Jasper Vivian. By sixteen years old, Lester built his first Gander Bay Boat (also known as a Gander River Boat) and began working as a guide on the Gander River. He has built more than one hundred boats and has spent a more fifty years guiding, primarily for executive guests of Abitibi-Price Inc, on the Gander River and in parts of Labrador.
