Other Authors: O'Brien Aloysius, 1915-2008, was born in St. John's, NL and the last descendant of the O'Brien Family. His mother's family came from Waterford and his father's family from Kilkenny in Ireland. He was a farmer and also taught himself the Irish Gaelic and botany. During his life, He was active in preserving and promoting the Irish-Newfoundland culture and traditions.
