Il parle de la police qui intimider la communauté et empêchait le monde de s’amuser. -- Continuation of the story "The Black Mountain", which was begun on a previous recording. Émile then recalls a particular Candlemas, and his crossing of Winterhouse, stopping to visit at people’s homes and dancing all night. He talks about playing jigs, and of mixing French and English words when speaking. He tells about drinking spruce beer while chopping wood for the winter. He talks about how the police would intimidate the community and stop people from having fun.
