Après la conte, Émile joue six morceaux de musique au violon: “The devil is the liar”, “Brother’s Farewell”, “Christina’s Favour”, “Ship Inn Reel”, “Wayne and the bear”, “La montagne rouge”. -- Émile Benoit tells the story “The Black Mountain”, in which Jack, after losing a game of cards with the devil, loses all his belongings, his family and his soul, and has to go to the Black Mountain. The devil asks him to do certain tasks which appear impossible, but Jack is helped by the devil’s daughter. After the story, Émile plays six pieces of music on the fiddle: “The Devil is a Liar”, “Brother’s Farewell”, “Christina’s Favour”, “Ship Inn Reel”, “Wayne and the bear”, “La montagne rouge”.
