For over 65 years, Wilson Osbourne worked at the forge as a marine blacksmith in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. He did all sorts of smith work, including shoeing horses and repairing equipment, as well as work for the banking schooners. Osbourne describes the work and traces the history of the banking schooner fishery and the changing nature of work at the forge throughout the seasons.
