Part 1 of an interview with Pierce Pickett, who was a fisherman, schooner captain, logger, sealer, and World War I veteran. Pickett starting fishing at nine or ten years old and joined the navy in 1914 when he was 17. He served as a naval gunner during World War I and spent time in Montreal; the Mediterranean, India, Greece, Africa, and the Middle East. Discusses his experiences fishing on the Labrador and on sealing vessels. Raw footage for the Decks Awash television program.
