In this interview Mr. Tobin, who was actually a U.S. citizen, recalls his moving to Newfoundland from Boston, his time in the Newfoundland Regiment leading up to the July 1st battle, and reflections of how he looks back at it all. Mr. Tobin was the last surviving member of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment who fought at Beaumont Hamel. The interview was conducted by Mr. Ed Coady.
