These social events are usually followed by a square dance( A dance involving eight or more people, half men & [reverse] half women) usually some men have a few drinks and in the process become boisterous and dance very energetically. The you hear the shouts from the people and dancers of " common boy 'walloper down'." Men & women often use it and I've heard with used a few times at communities near Fogo.
