It means to dance longer and harder. To stomp harder on the floor. I've heard this saying mostly at dances after community teas or 'times' as their called in Fogo. These social events are usually followed by a square dance( A dance involving eight or more people, half men & [reverse] half women) usually some men have a few drinks and in the process become boisterous and dance very energetically. The you hear the shouts from the people and dancers of " common boy 'walloper down'." Men & women often use it and I've heard with used a few times at communities near Fogo.
