| Summary: | tiddly n _Tidley_ sometimes called _puss._- This game could be played with any number of players. You dug a small hole in the ground; and the only other equipment was two sticks one eight to ten inches long, the other two to two and a half feet. When sides were chosen there was a draw for IN. There were three parts to the game HOOK, KNOCK, and TIDLEY. If someone on the opposing team caught your tidley stick on the hook before it touched the ground you were out. If [Reverse] No one caught it you put your _puss-stick_ across the hole and if the person who picked up your _tidley stck_ could throw it and hit your puss stick you were out. When you knocked it someone caught your tidley stick before it hit the ground you were out. When it was thrown in you had to try to hit it with the puss stick. If you hit it behind the hole you were out but if you hit it out in front you measured off the distance with your puss-stick and counted one point for each length. When you _tiddleyed_ you were out if someone caught your tiddley stick but if not caught you counted the number of Puss-stick lengths as points. Forty Five was a game and if someone on your side had been OUT and you made a complete game without missing a turn that person was IN again.
