What were some. . .can you. . .do you remember any of the queer rigs,or the. . .? N. Oh there're all kinds. . .some of them (would) be so big as a barrell. WHERE THEY HAD cushions and stuff put around 'em,you know,an' rounded out,an' (BUILT??) .Yes. Yeah. Aha! They used to have good times! ((HH.Did they ever threaten children with _the Mummers?_ ??)) Do the. . .do they still say that? N. Not now. HH. Ah well,did they? What was it they would say? N. They used to say well,"The Mummers is goin' to come in,you know,if you don't be good!" [PT] ,see. But they don't say that now because there're not Mummers [PT] enough comin' now to say it, say it.No. HH. The. . .the Mummer. . .any other way they say that? N. No.No,no. No. HH. And this would be if the children were bad? N. Yes,oh yes. They tried to scare them,you see an'. . .keep 'em quiet. HH.
