Description
Summary:ram's horn n The Fish would be washed in Rams Horns. Note. A Rams Horne was made with Board about 12 feet long and 8 feet wide and two feet deep, the boards would be one inch apart and with a bottom in the contraption, there would be rope Straps in Both ends; this Rams Horn would be placed in the water, the Rope Straps would be tied to the Wharf, fore men would throw, the fish down in this Rams Horn they would, get down and sit on Boards around the edge, and wash the fish with Scrub Brushes, they would have an open Skiff tied to the side of the Rams Horn to throw the fish in when washed. They would use about three of those contrivances at the same time for washing fish, I was never able to find out how those outfits were named Rams Horns. they have no resemblances to the Horn of a Ram.
