Summary:sheila n Sheila's Day Miss O'Leary remembers an old saying that people both young and old would say on March 18; "Patty walks the shores around\ And Sheila follows in a long white gown."\According to Miss O'Leary snow usually falls on the 18 of March, and the saying is that on this day, Patty (St. Patrick) walks the shores and Sheila follows after him leaving a blanket of snow behind her. Sheila's white gown apparently is the blanket of snow. Miss O'Leary doesn't know who Sheila is or where she comes from; all she knows is that Sheila has something to do with St. Patrick.
