| Summary: | sand n Grandmother always used the sand rock to clean up the floors.It was a common thing to see not only grand- mother but other women as well going to the beach with their aprons on to get sand rocks. What they considered to be sand rocks was a type of rock which was many different colors. This rock was usually round in shape, which was due to its washing back and forth on the beach. The women would use a large rock to break up the sand rock, so that the remains could be used to put on the floor when cleaning. Of course this was before the day of floor covering.
