While definitive evidence is still lacking, the semantic interrelationships among the many words in the cluster suggest that the editors may have been unduly cautions. It seems necessary to include the word _bug_ in any attempt to trace the origins and interrelationships of words in the cluster. The subject is too complex and uncertain to deal with here, and indeed merits an independent study. Some of the more important relationships, however, are summarised in the concise entry on _bug_ in the _ODEE_:116 cont'd (C) Used I and Sup Not used 4 Not used This is the reverse of B_4905.
