Description
Summary:mushel n The following rhyme was told to me in the MUN library the blank is where a girls name should go. The girls name would be the one whom was being taunted. ______ my dear you look so fair In calico drawers you used to wear then & dyes \ Keep your _mushel_ away from the boys. Rosalyn Sparke says that when she was about 7 or 8 years old she would say this rhyme to her girlfriends using their name in the blank [reverse] It would be just to taunt them and tease them. The rhyme seems incomplete but thats how I get it. Mushel means female genital organ. DICT CEN. APR 2 1968 [check] Not used Not used Not used NEWFOUNDLAND FOLKLORE SURVEY Reverse of card at M_14825
